Maggie’s Rental Application – Open House
Hi everyone.
There are two, big, beautiful one-bedroom, one-bathroom units available on the 3rd floor at Maggie’s in Burnaby. Address is 1010 Sperling, just a couple of blocks south of Hastings so a 50-minute bus-ride straight down Hastings to Main. Also a single bus, seven-minute ride straight down Sperling to the Sperling-Burnaby Lake Skytrain Station.
There are two open Houses planned on Thursday, February 8th, from 10 a.m. – noon and again from 5 – 7 p.m. but viewings are available as soon as today by contacting Dawn (see contact information below).
Rent is $950.00 per month for the smaller of the two units and $1,150 for the larger of the two units, Rent includes heat, a/c, basic cable, free laundry and one parking spot for each unit. The smaller unit has a nice-sized balcony and the larger unit has two balconies. Both units have access to a large community garden, for those of you with green thumbs. Safeway is within walking distance, as well as a small business district along Hastings. SFU is just up the hill, including the Burnaby Mountain conservation area. Link to map below.
The site is spot zoned for seniors, so the units are ideal for single woman, over the age of 50. One unit is available now and for anyone who has to give a month’s notice at their current apartment, you could move in anytime in January and begin paying rent on February 1st.

- This is a woman-only building. You can have guests, of course, including overnight guests, but not more than twice a week, to maintain the integrity of the program/safety for women living at Maggie’s. Male partners will not be allowed to live at Maggie’s, now or ever. All male guests will be required to use the side door entry and climb the stairs to the third-floor units.
- Small (less than 40 lbs) pets are OK.
- This is a non-smoking building. You cannot smoke in your unit or on your balcony. There are designated, covered smoking areas adjacent to the building.
